Mark your calendars for some fun, FREE weekend events:On Saturday, June 13 all Toys“R”Us stores nationwide will host a Super WHY! event to celebrate the launch of the first ever Super WHY! toy line only available at Toys“R”Us stores and online at Toysrus.com/SuperWhy. Kids will have the “power to read” during the complimentary two hour event with story time, coloring activities, reading-focused games and free giveaways. Sounds like fun!
Also on Saturday, June 13 all Babies“R”Us stores nationwide will host a complimentary Plan & Scan Registry Workshop at 8:30am, before the store opens, to help expectant parents find everything they’ll need for their little arrival. While attending the special event, guests will also learn how their baby registry can help raise money for Save the Children through the Bundled in Hope campaign.
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores will be holding a FREE Craft Demo on June 13, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. During the demo instructors will demonstrate how to create a charming Faith Bracelet using Prism "Expressions of Faith" Floss and Charms. They will also hand out simple instructions for creating the bracelet.Making friendship bracelets is a great way to unleash your child's creativity and channel their energy positively. Lowe's offers up FREE Build and Grow clinics for kids every month. On June 13th, from 10 a.m.-11 a.m., they'll be making a mini Putting Green for Father's Day! Go on over here to register your kiddos for this FREE event!

REI has a great Passport to Adventure kids program available! This program helps show kids how important and rewarding it can be to spend time in the outdoors.The program is Designed for kids aged 5-12.
- To Start they need to have an Adventure Journal, where they can document their hikes, bike rides and other fun times. Pick up a journal in any REI store, or download and print one here.
- Use their interactive map to find local family-friendly hikes and bike rides. Lists are also available at your REI store.
- Earn a prize! After you finish one outdoor activity, send in the tear-off postcard from the journal or fill out our online form to get a certificate of completion and a special prize—FREE binoculars that turn into other cool tools including a compass, signal mirror, magnifying glass and more!
What a great way to motivate your kiddos to be more active outside this summer! The freebie sounds pretty cool too!

I seriously can NOT believe all the FREE entertainment and activities for the Kids this summer! It just amazes me how simple it can be to save money and still have fun! I love it! Anyway, here are a few more free activities for the summer:
- Chuck E. Cheese's is offering up a fun Summer Reading program! Download and print their Reading Rewards Calendar here. Mark the days off with a pen or sticker as your child accomplishes their goals. When your done bring it in completed to Chuck E. Cheese's and receive 10 free tokens as a reward! - The National Park Service is offering three fee-free weekends at more than 100 national parks all across the United States!
